solutions for inspectors
in the field; Web based
permit application; Automatic
email notification systems;
Web based dashboard applications
for inspectors and contractors;
Desktop application for
city personnel; Home owner
permit applications .

Developed a mobile
solution using Microsoft
.NET technologies to meet
the needs of field service
personnel of a large city
in south east United States
. This project had several
phases, they were: Understanding
the specific needs of
the inspections staff
that belonged to different
trades of work. Meeting
with field service personnel
and driving out to the
field with them to study
their daily activities.
Architecture was based
on open web service standards
and XML. Using advanced
GUI features and simple
interfaces, field personnel
can use the application
with minimal effort. The
application allows inspectors
to sort their daily route
and plan their work. Using
pre-defined comments,
inspectors have an error
free and time saving mechanism
to reject inspections.
The software uses a store
and forward mechanism
that allows inspectors
to work in both online
and offline modes. Synchronization
with the server is automatic
or can be requested at
anytime by the inspector.
The software also uses
encryption and 128 bit
authentication for security.

an Electronic permitting
system for a large city
in the south east USA
. This permitting system
allows contractors to
obtain a permit for maintenance,
alterations and repair
with a few clicks of the
mouse. This web based
system integrates with
the county for address
validations; a financial
gateway for processing
credit cards and the in
house financial system.
Contractors can print
their permit package in
their offices using this
system. It takes less
than 60-90 seconds to
obtain a permit using
this system |

an email notification
system for a large city
in the south east USA
that allows automatic
emails to be sent out
to customers. This system
is integrated with the
web, mobile and desktop
application, thus providing
a common gateway for the
city to send out land
management related emails.
Emails content is customizable
and is generated using
XSL and XML technologies.

web based tools for contractors
to administer their accounts
with the city. Also developed
a web based dashboard
that provides up to the
minute information about
projects that the contractors
are working on with the
city. Contractors can
view graphically the current
status of permits and
inspections by just clicking
on an address. They can
also schedule, re-schedule
inspections etc from this
application. |
